Most of what I care about sits where business, investing and entrepreneurship meet, and most of what I do outside of work involves a long race on the calendar.
I'm a senior at Boston University's Questrom School of Business, graduating in May 2027. I'm getting my BBA in Finance, and most of my coursework and work experience so far has been in finance and accounting.
Since 2023, my schedule has been built around Division I swimming at BU. On top of that, I've gotten into endurance sports. I raced my first Ironman 70.3 in Rockford this past June, set the swim course record, and I'm now training for my first ultramarathon.
Along the way I audited companies at Baker Tilly, looked at early-stage startups as an analyst at DEPO Ventures in Prague, and founded TextMarley, which grew to thousands of users.
What connects all of it is that I like figuring out how businesses actually work: where the money comes from, what could go wrong, and why some ideas take off while others don't. I'm most interested in investment management, credit, and business strategy, and I'm always glad to learn from people who have been doing this a lot longer than I have.
Worked on financial statement audits across multiple engagements: testing internal controls, performing substantive procedures, reconciling account balances and documenting audit evidence under U.S. GAAS.
Ran founder calls to assess business models, traction and growth potential, reviewed pitch decks and financial statements, and helped the partners with due diligence on investment decisions.
Led lead identification and business development work behind marketing campaigns that generated about $30,000 in revenue, and worked directly with the CEO on customer engagement and expansion decisions.
TextMarley let people set reminders by text message. I grew it to thousands of users and tens of thousands of reminders, landed in Product Hunt's Top 10, raised $5,000 in non-dilutive university funding, and received angel investment offers.
The biggest lesson was that the idea is the easy part. Most of the work was getting the first few hundred people to try it, paying attention to what they actually used, and cutting what they didn't. It's one thing to build something; it's another to get people to come back to it.
Built and ran several Instagram pages that grew to over 2 million followers and 75 million likes combined.
Working with Boston-based landlords to embed renters insurance into text messages using AI, shaped by conversations with more than 100 properties.
